IMS Technology Services Achieves AVIXA AV Provider of Excellence Distinction

IMS Technology Services has qualified as an AVIXA AV Provider of Excellence, or APEx. The AVIXA APEx program is a marketing recognition program for integration companies and AV design consulting firms dedicated to upholding industry excellence by providing quality service to customers.

The AVIXA APEx program recognizes companies based on the number of employees holding key industry certifications, including AVIXA’s CTS credential, completion of continuing education classes, and positive customer survey responses. APEx providers must also prove that they meet or exceed the requirements within 2 ANSI/INFOCOMM standards, the Standard Guide for Audiovisual Systems Design and Coordination Processes and the AV System Performance Verification Standard, to foster better communication between the AV provider and the client.

“The APEx designation gives AV companies a mark of distinction in the marketplace,” said David Labuskes, CTS, RCDD, AVIXA’s Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer. “Customers of APEx companies can be confident of the AV provider’s professionalism and commitment to ongoing training, customer service and dedication to excellence.”

Paul Wedesky, CASE, CMP Joins IMS Technology Services as COO

GARNET VALLEY, PA — August 9, 2017 – IMS Technology Services, an award-winning provider of event staging and systems integration solutions, is pleased to announce that Paul Wedesky, CASE, CMP has joined IMS as Chief Operating Officer for the event staging division. Wedesky has nearly 3 decades of experience in the meetings, events and trade show industry. Most recently, Wedesky was the senior vice president of audio visual services for GES, and he served as senior vice president of national operations for PSAV and senior vice president of PSAV’s sales, convention & tradeshow division prior to that.

“As a 6-time INC 5000 Fastest Growing Company honoree, IMS has been on a growth path for several years, and we are now in a position to implement the next phase of our growth” said IMS principal John Renninger. “We have outlined an acquisition strategy that will accelerate our growth plans, and Paul will have direct responsibility for this plan. Wedesky is a Certified Association Sales Executive through Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and a Certified Meeting Professional through Meeting Professionals International (MPI). He is a member of PCMA, MPI, and International Association of Exhibition and Events.

Michael Shinn Appointed to National Systems Contractor Association Education Foundation Board

IMS Technology Services is pleased to announce that Michael Shinn, Director of Operations for Systems Integration, has been appointed to the National Systems Contractor Association Education Foundation Board of Directors.

The NSCA Foundation is a non-profit organization whose goal is to advance educational opportunities through scholarships, awards, and promoting awareness for those seeking professional careers within the low-voltage electronic systems industry. The NSCA has been an immensely influential organization over the audio-visual, structured cabling, and security industries.
