IMS recently won the National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA) 2016 Excellence in Business award in the category of employee engagement.
“This year’s winners are an inspiring collection of integration firms,” says NSCA Executive Director Chuck Wilson. “We’ve never seen a more diverse group of award winners in terms of company size and scope of work. The information they will convey during the opening-night program will deliver so much value and set the stage for an incredible event. The shifts these companies have made to achieve business goals, improve the customer experience, engage employees, and differentiate themselves are changes we can all learn from.”
This year’s Excellence in Business awards honor five systems integration firms in their efforts to adapt to the constantly changing industry, and this is what NSCA said about IMS:
“IMS Technology Services, winner in the Employee Engagement category, was impacted by Keynote Mike Abrashoff’s presentation at the Business & Leadership Conference in 2015 so much that the company decided to shift its focus to empowering each team member to make decisions. To recognize employees for working so hard to achieve their goals in 2015, IMS Technology Services hosted its annual meeting at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field. The entire event was centered on the employees – not the company or its managers – which helped continue to build engagement and rapport.”
Congratulations to all IMS team members for your hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence.

The award was presented at the InfoComm 2015 NSCA/FSR/SYNNEX Women in AV Reception.
“I am honored and humbled to receive this award. We have grown IMS from renting projectors from our basement to managing events and system installations across the country and around the world… we’re not a huge company, only 80 people, but that’s still 80 people… and that’s really where I believe mentoring comes into play”, says Renninger.
Any company can rent gear, truck equipment across the country or install AV systems. We pride ourselves in building a team of highly skilled and creative people, and it’s their talent and dedication that makes the difference between a one-time customer and, and lasting and loyal customers.
Our Team is the PRIMARY reason we’ve experienced the tremendous growth throughout our 20 year history.”
Women in AV are grateful to Listen Technologies for sponsoring this important industry award for the third year in a row and greatly appreciate their on-going efforts and support to encourage the development of WAVE.
“We are delighted to recognize Jill with this award for all the mentoring that she has done within our industry,” said Cory Schaeffer, Co-Founder & Vice President of Business Development Worldwide at Listen Technologies. “She is an outstanding role model of how rewarding it is to support and uplift others. She has given selflessly to her company, aspiring young women in AV, and her community. I love that she is being recognized for it with this 2015 award. It’s nice to recognize and share with others all of her efforts.”
“WAVE received many excellent nominations for the WAVE Mentor Award”, said founder Jennifer H. Willard. “Jill stood out to our judges because she demonstrates the type of leadership and inspiration we need in our industry. Her thoughtfulness, generosity towards helping others, and example as a role model that all women in AV can aspire to be are exactly the qualities that align with the mission and values of the Women in AV organization. We are thrilled to celebrate and recognize Jill for her outstanding service and dedication as a mentor to not only young women following in her footsteps, but, the AV industry as a whole.”

Congratulations to Donna Baldino, National Account Manager for IMS Technology Services, for being named the 2014-2015 Rookie of the Year by the Greater Philadelphia chapter of NAWBO.
The award was presented during NAWBO’s recent annual meeting, and in presenting the award, chapter president Julie Smith commented “our Rookie of the Year just completed her first year on our board and has been such a positive force. Always optimistic, always with a smile and a kind word, and always pursuing new opportunities without fear. She has truly embraced the NAWBO spirit, from day one. I met her at a NAWBO networking event in January 2014, she filled out her membership application that very night, joined the Corporate Partners committee, and became committee chair last July. Her passion for NAWBO is evident in everything she does, including breaking new ground for us in the Corporate Partners committee. I am proud to recognize Donna Baldino as our Rookie of the Year.”
Great job, Donna!

Have heard the shout out to IMS on WMMR?
IMS Technology Services recently assisted with the Subaru live broadcast. Subaru won the grand prize for an organization’s donation at the Camp Out for Hunger fundraiser in December. By using their Share the Love Event fundraiser, they raised 360,059 lbs of food (nearly HALF of all that was raised).
Special thanks to the IMS Team that made the live broadcast happen: Devo and BMurph for running the event, and Mo, Anthony and the whole warehouse crew for making the coordination happen!« Older Posts
